At Heimstaden H10, records were set on the track and in the money box!

At the Heimstaden Havířovská ten, a track record and a record amount for handicapped athletes were set

The 6th year of the city run in support of handicapped athletes Heimstaden Havířovská ten is over. Almost 800 competitors of all ages ran the city center. The amount of 69,500 crowns was collected for the boccists of the HSC Havířov club, which was also doubled by the general partner of the plant, Heimstaden. In total, 139,000 crowns go to disabled athletes.

"We really appreciate the fact that every single H10 runner helps us financially with their participation, it is a huge impulse for us to continue our work and help us achieve the sporting success of our athletes. We also thank Heimstaden for a wonderful gesture, which has doubled the amount. This year we were looking forward to meeting again in "our" city, enjoying the atmosphere of the race and greeting all those who actively help us in this way, " says Kateřina Šajnarová, chairwoman of the HSC Havířov club.

The next year, after last year's forced break, underwent minor changes. "In the city center, we are still doing construction work on the main route of the race to reduce the movement of athletes in this area, so we turned the direction of the race and we believe that the runners enjoyed the route from a different perspective," says the main organizer Martin Kučera.

The DEFENDIT children's run, 5 km run - Manfréd Kosel Memorial, Craft relay race and the main 10 km race Heimstaden Havířovská ten, which was also the Czech Veterans Championship, were also present at the races this year as well. Almost eight hundred participants took the starting line of all races.

"We thank everyone who completed this year's races. Thank you that the competitors came with us to enjoy the unique atmosphere, to break their own records and to appreciate the work of the organizers with their presence, which was not easy. Each year is planned well in advance. In the end, we had to cancel last year's one, and due to all the restrictions so far, we did not decide on the organization of this year until August. The transfer of registrations and much more was addressed. We are therefore sincerely glad that everything went well this year and that we also wished for the weather, ” thanks Kučera

The winners of this year 's races were - 5 km run for men Filip Auster with a time of 17 minutes 37 seconds and for women Iva Motlochová with a time of 23 minutes and 38 seconds. In the main 10 km race, Ukrainian runner Serhii Shevchenko won with a time of 31 minutes and 2 seconds, thus breaking the track record with his average speed of 19.33 km / h and among women Maryna Nemchenko with a time of 35 minutes and 42 seconds.

The next year should take place at a similar date again in a year and the goal is clear - to have at least 2,000 competitors at the start.
