Outstanding Performances by Runners and a Record-Breaking Amount for Boccia Players

Havířov, October 22, 2024 – The Heimstaden H10 2024 attracted nearly a thousand runners to the starting line. Participants not only from Havířov but also from the wider region took on the challenge and competed for the best times. The atmosphere was fantastic, the weather favored the runners, and a record-breaking amount of CZK 170,000 was once again raised for boccia players.

Heimstaden Ten – Men
In the men’s 10 km category, Hungarian-born Istvan Szogi from the Dublin Track Club dominated with a time of 0:30:07.52. “I had never heard of the Havířov Ten before. Initially, I was looking for a race to participate in as part of my training. I’m very surprised at what a beautiful place this is—I thoroughly enjoyed the race and will definitely return to Havířov,” Szogi shared his running experience.

Following him was Damián Vích from Team Pio1, finishing with a time of 0:30:39.14. Third place was secured by Karel Splítek, also from Team Pio1, with a time of 0:33:14.11.

Heimstaden Ten – Women

In the women’s 10 km category, Barbora Vahalíková from the BROOKS team shone with a time of 0:37:25.97. Second place went to Adéla Bartoň Haitlová from Atletika Nový Jičín, finishing at 0:37:44.36. Martina Mazáčová from AKEZ Kopřivnice secured third place with a time of 0:41:42.99.

 

Manfred Kosel Memorial – Men

In the 5 km race, Jan Wita from Team Pio1 claimed victory with a time of 0:16:18.51. Filip Austera from Atletika Havířov 1965 took second place with a time of 0:17:03.08, and Martin Tofel from SDH Kozlovice finished third at 0:17:34.98.

 

Manfred Kosel Memorial – Women

Andrea Austeroá from Atletika Havířov 1965 triumphed in the women’s 5 km category with a time of 0:22:39.24. Klaudie Koběrská from Team Pio1 followed in second place at 0:23:59.43, while Denisa Illeková finished third with a time of 0:24:22.87.

 

Fastest Havířov Runners of the h10

The fastest male runner from Havířov was Jakub Koch from Team Sportovny, clocking in at 0:36:10.35. Among the women, the title of the fastest Havířov runner went to Barbora Zotyková from Team Decathlon with a time of 0:47:05.60.

 

RBP Team Relays

The team relays were dominated by the Icelanders with a total time of 0:40:11.70. Mechatronici from Karviná secured second place with 0:41:50.35, and Capremani from Capital Refractories finished third at 0:43:05.01.

 

RBP Corporate Relays

The 10 km corporate relay race delivered an exciting competition, with SIMO SPEED taking first place with a time of 0:39:21.71. The Compacer Running Team followed closely in second with 0:39:42.87, and SEMAjstři finished third at 0:40:19.42.

Antonín Klimša, the CEO of health insurance company RBP, the main partner of the race, also participated. Sharing his experience on LinkedIn, he wrote:
“It was not only a physical challenge but also a fantastic opportunity to once again feel the camaraderie of supporting each other and pushing forward in a race. The competitive spirit was palpable along every stretch of the course, and this energy motivated all of us to give it our all.”

 

Pegres Family Run

Last but not least, 305 children participated in the 500-meter family run across three categories. Every participant who crossed the finish line was a winner, receiving a well-deserved finisher’s medal.

 

Havířov H10 Continues to Impress

The race attracted professional athletes, amateurs, and enthusiasts eager to enjoy the sports atmosphere and push their limits. This year saw a record-breaking donation of CZK 170,000 for boccia players of the Handicap Sport Club Moravia. Thanks to runners and race partners Heimstaden and Autodům Vrána, the event once again proved to be a community-building celebration promoting a healthy lifestyle.
